ROLF Group automated its IT service
management processes on the base of the OMNITRACKER platform by OMNINET. The
automobile holding connected to OMNITRACKER all its retail autocenters, that is
30 showrooms in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The project aim was to automate the
IT service catalogue to get the most transparent and clear service catalogue,
that is provided to business users by IT. The project was made by OmniWay, a
strong experienced partner of OMNINET inside Russia and CIS.
Due to this platform implementation
the largest Russian diversified automobile company made the data of the
equipment availability instant check to coincide with the accounting statistics
up to 98%. It took about three months to complete the complete inventory before
the OMNITRACKER platform implementation . This required a lot of resources and
made the reporting transparency more difficult. Now everything is automated and
weekly verified. It also takes significantly less time to search for
information and get reports on the
movement on open accounts.
“We
had to ensure full transparency of the IT equipment accounting that was a very simple business task from the
common sense view point, but was very labor-consuming regarding the large
company. Thanks to the OMNITRACKER implementation each employee completely
understands the dependencies between services and all their elements
(equipment, programs, licenses, staff members), and has the possibility to get
the necessary information almost instantly“ says Alexey Kropotkin, ROLF Group IT Operations Director. “As a result of this platform
implementation our company could increase the efficiency of its operational
processes.“
The customer notes the
usability and customization, and affordable price as the OMNITRACKER
advantages. Besides, the platform deployment does not take a lot of time. It
took the ROLF Group almost a year to completely implement CMDB (configuration
management database), Service Catalogue and Incident Management.
“OMNITRACKER
is the optimum solution in terms of convenience to customers, because on one
hand companies can use it on their own without involving additional resources
and on the other hand it can be adapted to the unique needs of different
companies. This platform also allows to modify the automated processes as just
after the implementation, as a few years later“, says Michael Dobner, CEO of OMNINET Russia and CIS.
Thus, ROLF Group plans to
further develop the system to automate the change and release management,
project management and document workflow.
